Galerie Herold is one of Europe’s premiere location for German Impressionism and German Expressionism.

Since 1978, the family owned and operated Galerie Herold has supplied national and international collections and museums
with leading Northern German artists such as Emil Nolde, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Dorothea Maetzel Johannsen, Eduard Bargheer, Paula Modesohn-Becker, Max Liebermann, Ernst Eitner, Thomas Herbst, Ivo Hauptmann and Friedrich Kallmorgen, to name a few. German contemporary artists such as Rainer Fetting, Frank Schult, Dieter Glasmacher and Max Frisinger are also featured in the gallery’s program.
